We use satellite imagery to classify road surfaces and surrounding vegetation to predict road conditions. Besides raw data from the well-known Landsat and Sentinel satellites, we use novel data products such as the European Ground Motion Service. We provide a unified data layer combining all these information sources to let our customers monitor power lines, railways, harbors, and pipelines.
Severe weather events such as floods and landslides are clearly visible in satellite imagery, and disaster relief organizations benefit from recent satellite generations’ excellent image resolution. Our data services provide an interface to monitor changes and automatically detect events and severity. This ranges from local events such as overgrowing vegetation that might require road maintenance actions to regional disasters that may hinder mobility for months. Our AI framework incorporates historical data – such as the NASA global landslide catalog – to predict hotspots and event likelihoods.
