Looking for Extraordinary Experiences?

User Experience Designer (m/w/d)

You don’t need to have participated in the Dakar Rally and you don’t need to know how to replace the radiator grill of a Land Rover Defender – but some love for adventure, trips into remote regions and crazy vehicles would be nice to have.

As a user experience designer, you hold a Master’s degree in user experience design, interface design, human-computer interaction, or any comparable field of study. You have experience in interface and interaction design for mobile apps (Android, iOS) as well as responsive websites, you conducted user studies and usability tests and you love the fancy design and neat typography. Beyond developing concepts as wireframes and prototypes you have also implemented them by yourself in a real product. You are used to working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban and besides all the buzzwords your English is fluent and you speak some decent German (minimum level B2).

At Bareways you will design storyboards, scenarios, user flows, and use cases for a location-based service for off-road applications and you will bring them to life jointly with the product development team. Beyond, you will shape the design of the brand Bareways and create a unique style for our corporate identity.

You will have flexible working hours of in total 40 hours per week – and in the unlikely event of a night shift, we will adequately compensate that with free time. And if you ever require some extra time for your children, family, or a trip around the world, we will find an appropriate working time model for you.

We at Bareways want to bring advanced mobility services to all those regions & roads in the world that have been neglected up to now. Safety and sustainability are key values as well as adventure and fun.

Our offices are located on a technology campus in Lübeck, Germany – with a big park next door for lunch breaks, sport activities, or a joint barbecue.

Caution! If you only look for excessive off-road challenges, relaxed working hours, or chatting about the last road trip, we might not be the perfect fit for you. We are building products that need to fulfill the highest automotive quality standards; our customers shall count on the reliability of our technology especially at the end of the world when everything else fails. We will take these challenges with an innovative mindset and seriousness.

If you are interested in this adventure, if you want to grow with a young startup, if you are not afraid of making mistakes, and if you are willing to take new barely visible ways – come and join us!

We are looking forward to receiving your application with a cover letter and curriculum vitae.
